A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO DECLARING ITS
1 INTENTION TO INITIATE ON I 'PS OWN MOTION
PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN INHABITED
2 TERRITORY KNOWN AS ANNEXATION NO . 56
3 WHEREAS , some property owners desire annexation to the
4 city of San Jacinto ; and
5 WHEREAS , annexation to the City of San Jacinto will
6 contribute to thQ orderly growth of the City , provide proper
'7 control of street layouts , sanitary sewer and water design
8 and to insure proper use of land in conformity with the
9 General Plan ,
10 NOW , THEREFOR[° , BE IT RESOLVED as follows ;
11 1 . The City Council of the City of San Jacinto proposes
12 to initiate on its own motion proceedings to annex to the
13 City of San Jacinto all or a portion of the territory
14 hereinafter described on Exhibit "A' as inhabited territory
15 pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Organization Act .
16 2 , That the territory which the Council proposes to
17 annex shall be identified as Annexation No , 56
18 3 , That the City Manager , or his designated
19 representative , is hereby authori .ed to file with the Local
20 Agency Formation Commission the appropriate application and
21 sign any and all documents therefore .
22 MOVED , PASSED and ADOPTED on the 29th day � of September

1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO COMMENCING PROCEEDINGS FOR AMENDING THE
2 SPHERE OF INFLUENCE OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO
INCLUDING THE DETACHMENT OF TERRITORY FROM THE
3 SPHERE OF INFLUENCE OF THE CITY OF HEMET.
4 , WHEREAS, Government Code Section 56426 requires the
r�
establishment of a sphere of influence for cities ; and
WHEREAS, Section 56425-56427 establish procedures for
6 amendments to the sphere of influence ; and
t WHEREAS, the current sphere of influence does not effectively
define the total area which impacts the City of San Jacinto
' physically, economically and socially; and
WHEREAS, portions of land in the sphere of influence of
the City of Hemet are within an area that has financial impact
10 on San Jacinto or is more associated with industry common to
San Jacinto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
12 City of San Jacinto, that San Jacinto declares its intent to
submit an amendment to its sphere of influence , which includes
13 detachment from Hemet ' s sphere of influence , as outlined in
Exhibit A and directs the City Manager, or his representative ,
14to submit an application for such amendment on behalf of the
Y.
