RESOLUTION NO. 1790
1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE RIVERSIDE
COUNTY HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN.
3 WHEREAS, pursuant to Assembly Bill 2948 (Tanner) the County
of Riverside has prepared a County Hazardous Waste management
Plan ( CHWMP ) ; and
? WHEREAS, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 25135 . 5 ( f )
the CHWMP must be approved by a majority of the Cities within
G Riverside County prior to submission to and final approval of
the Plan by the State Department of Health Services ; and
WHEREAS, on December 1 , 1988 , the City of San Jacinto
received the CHWMP from the County for the City' s review and
a)
approval; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto has participated through
10 a representative to the County' s City Liaison Subcommittee in
11 the preparation and review of the final draft CHWMP; and.
1 WHEREAS, the San Jacinto City Council has now reviewed and
considered the CHWMP; now, therefore ,
13 BE IT RESOLVED by the San Jacinto City Council in regular
session assembled on January 3 , 1989 , that the City Council of
14 'ithe City of San Jacinto has voted its support of the efforts
of Riverside County to manage hazardous waste within its juris-
15 diction as specified in the County Hazardous Waste Management
Plan .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this City Council hereby grants
17 its formal approval to said Plan and hereby orders that a
certified copy of this Resolution shall be transmitted to the
18' Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of Riverside County as in-
19 dicating approval of such County Hazardous Waste Management Plan.
MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of January, 1989
20 by the following vote:
21 ! AYES: Councilmen Rose, Divine, Boykin and Ford
NOES: None
22 ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Councilman Redding
