A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, ENDORSING THE SUBMITTAL
2 OF AN APPLICATION TO THE VETERANS HOME ADMIN-
STRATION FOR THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF LOCATING A
3 NEW VETERANS HOME WITHIN THE SAN JACINTO VALLEY
4 WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Veterans
Affairs has made funds available to locate a Veterans Home in
Southern California ; and
(i WHEREAS, the Cities in Riverside County have been invited
` to submit proposals entertaining the location of the home within
1 their communities ; and

WHEREAS, the San Jacinto Valley, ( also known as the San
' Jacinto-Hemet Valley) provides the ideal amenities , environment ,
1) and friendly community spirit for the location of such a facility;
and

WHEREAS, the Cities of San Jacinto and Hemet , the Chambers
11 � of Commerce of San Jacinto and Hemet , Valley-wide Recreation
District , Hemet Community Hospital District , and numerous other
12 agencies have determined that the Valley is an ideal location
i
for a Veterans Home; and

WHEREAS, these agencies are participating in developing
14 a proposal for such a home in the Valley;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Jacinto City
Council endorses an application to the Veterans Home Admin-
16 istration for consideration of locating a new veterans home
iin the San Jacinto-Hemet Valley.
MOVED, PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of December 1988 .
