1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO EXTENDING THE USE OF ANGLE PARKING
2 ON PORTIONS OF MAIN STREET
3 RECITALS
4 WHEREAS, California Vehicle Code Section 22503 permits
local authorities to permit , by ordinance, angle parking on
5 any roadway within its jurisdiction, and
6 WHEREAS, Section 41, of Ordinance 358 , enacted on April
15 , 1960 , establishes angle narking within the City at such
7 places as the City may prescribe by ordinance or resolution,
and

WHEREAS, at this time, it is not feasible to establish
parallel parking along Main Street and that current studies
1�1 are underway with respect to the realignment of State Highway
79 which may effect traffic within the downtown area.
11 NOW, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAN JACINTO,
12 CALIFORNIA, as follows :
13 1. The Council finds the foregoing to be true.
14 2 . That the City Council establishes and extends the use
of angle parking on Main Street between the intersections of
15 San Jacinto Avenue and Jordan Street until April 1 , 1993 . Unless
this resolution is otherwise revised or extended by subsequent
15 resolution or ordinance, parallel parking shall thereafter be
established in said area.
17 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of April, 1991,
18 by the following vote
19 AYES: Councilmen Boykin, Ford, Hafliger and Leahy
NOES: None
20 ABSENT: Councilman Rose
