A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
2 CITY OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING
PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
3 TERRITORY GENERALLY LOCATED SOUTH OF
WASHINGTON AVENUE, WEST OF WINDHAM STREET,
4 EAST OF HEWITT STREET AND NORTH OF PARR AVENUE IN
THE SAN JACINTO AREA (ANNEXATION NO. 68)

6 WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of
iverside adopted its Resolution No. 43-91 on April 18, 1991,
making determinations and approving the proposed annexation to the
City of San Jacinto of territory described in Exhibit "A" attached
g hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and
g WHEREAS, preliminary proceedings were commenced by resolution
of application by the City of San Jacinto; and

WHEREAS, the distinctive short form designation for the proposed
11 annexation is LAFCO No. 90-87-3 , Annexation No. 68 to the City of
San Jacinto; and

WHEREAS, on April 18 , 1991, the Local Agency Formation Commission
13 adopted Resolution No. 43-91, determining the Territory of the
roposed annexation to be inhabited; and
14
WHEREAS, the annexation is consistent with the sphere of
15 influence of the City of San Jacinto and all other affected local
agencies; and
16
WHEREAS, the Territory is contiguous to the boundaries of the
17 ity of San Jacinto; and
18 WHEREAS, the reasons for the proposed annexation are as follows:
19 (a) The proposal represents a logical and orderly extension
f the boundaries of the City of San Jacinto.

(b) The City of San Jacinto is capable of providing improved
21 nunicipal services to the Territory.
22 (c) The annexation is proposed to provide more municipal
services by the City of San Jacinto to the territory to be
23annexed; and

25 WHEREAS, the proposal to annex the subject Territory was approved
y the Local Agency Formation Commission on April 18, 1991,
26 ubject to the terms and conditions described in Local Agency
Formation Commission Resolution No. 43-91 attached hereto as
27 Exhibit "B" .
28 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto
resolves and orders:

1. A public hearing shall be held to consider the proposed
30 nnexation as follows:
31 TIME: 7 : 30 p.m.
DATE: July 16, 1991

2 . Any owner of land within the Territory proposed for
2 annexation may file written letter of support or protest with the
City Clerk of the City of San Jacinto at any time prior to the
3 conclusion of the public hearing for the proposed annexation. 1
Each written protest must state that it is made by a landowner and
4 must indicate the name and address of the owner of land affected
and the street address or other description sufficient to identify
6 the location of the land.
6 3 . The City Clerk of the City of San Jacinto is hereby
instructed to provide notice of this hearing as required by law.
7 MOVED, PASSED and ADOPTED this 18th day of June, 1991, by a
g majority of the total membership, voting as follows:
9 AYES: Councilmen Boykin, Ford, Hafliger and Richards
10 NOES: None
11 ABSTAIN: None
12 ABSENT: Councilwoman Leahy
