A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION
OF THE WHITEFEATHER FARMS
COMPOSTING FACILITY
WHEREAS, the Riverside County has taken action to accept for
distribution the site identification and description of the Whitefeather Farms
Composting Facility in order to initiate the City/County review process; and
WHEREAS, the provisions of Assembly Bill 2296 (Cortese) enables solid
waste facilities to be established pending approval of Countywide Solid Waste
Management Plan and if a majority of cities endorse the establishment of the
proposed facility; and
WHEREAS, the Riverside County Waste Management Plan will be
approved January 1, 1994;
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto received the submittal for the
Whitefeather Composting Facility on May 28, 1991; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto has ninety (90) days from the date of
receipt to approve or disapprove, by resolution, the site identification and
description of the facility; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
Jacinto hereby approves the site identification and description of the Whitefather
Farms Composting Facility per Assembly Bill 2296 and orders a copy of this
resolution to transmitted to the Riverside County Waste Management Department.
MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED on the 6th day of August, 1991 by
the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Ford, Leahy, Richards and
Mayor Boykin
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Counculmember Hafliger

The forgoing is certified to be a true copy of Resolution No. 1963 duly
adopted by the said City Council of the City of San Jacinto on the date set forth
therein.
