RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO MODIFYING DISTRIBUTION OF
NET PROCEEDS FOR THE SAN JACINTO KIOSK PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, on May 22 , 1990, the City Council for the City
of San Jacinto (hereinafter "CITY") adopted Resolution No. 1880
designating the San Jacinto Kiosk Program Association (hereinafter
"ASSOCIATION") as the responsible- party to operate, maintain,
manage and enforce the Kiosk sign program for the City of San
Jacinto; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 1880, the net
proceeds from Kiosk rentals were to be paid to CITY, less a monthly
payment to the VALLEY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (hereinafter
'IV.E.D.C. ") in the amount of 100 of such net proceeds, but not less
than $400. 00 per month; and
WHEREAS, the V.E.D.C. has determines k.:Y it no longer
requires the monthly payment from the Kiosk prograw, <. d. on April
10, 1992 , the Board of Directors of V.E. D.C. passed the -fallowing
resolution:
"V.E.D.C. concurs that the two cities will
stop their monthly "Kiosk" contributions to
V.E.D.C. , effective May 1, 1992 . This does
not preclude the V.E. D. C. from making requests
for future funding when specific projects are
presented that would benefit jurisdictions
within the Valley. "
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IS RESOLVED as follows:
1. Effective May 1, 1992, the monthly payment paid from
the net rentals of the San Jacinto Kiosk Program to the V.E.D.C. ,
pursuant to Resolution No. 1880, shall be permanently suspended.
Effective May 1, 1992 , the full amount of the net proceeds of the
San Jacinto Kiosk Program shall be paid to the City of San Jacinto.
2 . The provisions of this Resolution shall supersede
any inconsistent provisions of Resolution No. 1880.
3 . The City Manager is authorized to execute the
agreement to effectuate the provisions of this Resolution. A copy
of such agreement is attached to this Resolution and incorporated
herein by reference.
