A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE SAN JACINTO GENERAL
PLAN FOR THE THIRD CYCLE OF 1992 AND INVOLVING
LAND BOUNDED BY KIRBY STREET, LYON AVENUE,
SEVENTH STREET AND ESPLANADE AVENUE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS;
WHEREAS, Section 65631 of the Government Code provides that no mandatory
element of a General Plan shall be amended more frequently than four times during any
calendar year, and that the City Council of the City of San Jacinto is amending the Land
Use Element of the San Jacinto General Plan for the third time during the 1992 calendar
year; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of San Jacinto held a public hearing regarding General
Plan Amendment 1-92 on November 17, 1992 and made a determination that the Land Use
Element of the San Jacinto General Plan should be amended as follows:
A. GPA 1-92 will enhance the logical development of the City and provide
additional affordable housing in furtherance of the goals and policies of the
General Plan by designating the amendment area as Low Density Residential,
as designated on Exhibit "A".
B. GPA 1-92 allows for reasonable and proper use of the amendment area and
enhances the tax base of the community.
WHEREAS, advertisement for a public hearing on General Plan 1-92 was published
in accordance with Article 6, Chapter 3, Title 7, of the Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there will not be a significant impact upon
the environment by right of this change and adopts a Negative Declaration with Mitigation
Measures for General Plan Amendment 1-92.
THEREFORE, the land use element of the General Plan is hereby amended in accordance
with Exhibit "Al', attached hereto incorporated herein by reference.
