A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO
REDEVELOPMENTAGENCY,AMENDINGAND ADOPTING
LOCAL GUIDELINES FOR IMPLEMENTING THE
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS;
WHEREAS, the California Legislature has amended the California Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA) and the California Courts have interpreted specific provisions of
CEQA; and
WHEREAS, Section 21082 of CEQA requires all public agencies to adopt objectives,
criteria and procedures for the evaluation of public and private projects undertaken or
approved by such public agencies, and the preparation, if required, of environmental impact
reports in connection with that evaluation; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors must revise the its local guidelines for
implementing CEQA to make them consistent with the current provisions and
interpretations of CEQA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors as follows:
SECTION ONE: Adoption of Local Guidelines. The Board of Directors hereby
adopts "Local Guidelines for Implementing the California Environmental Quality Act (1997
Revision)," a copy of;which is available for inspection by the public.
SECTION TWO:Prior Actions Repealed.All prior actions enacting earlier guidelines
are hereby repealed.
MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Redevelopment
Agency Board of Directors on the 6th day of August 1997 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Cornett, Solorio, Williams & Conner
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Smedl
