A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN JACINTO REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY AUTHORIZING COMMENCEMENT OF THE PLAN
AMENDMENT PROCESS FOR AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE
SAN JACINTO REDEVELOPMENT PLAN; AUTHORIZING THE
TRANSAUTTAL OF A MAP, BOUNDARY DESCRIPTION, AND A
STATEMENT TO TAXING OFFICIALS AND AGENCIES; AND
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF A FILING FEE TO THE STATE
BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto, California, (the "City
Council") did duly pass and adopt Ordinance No. 754 on June 28, 1983 and did
thereby approve the Redevelopment Plan for the San Jacinto Redevelopment
Project (the "Original Project Area"); and,
WHEREAS the City Council did amend the San Jacinto Redevelopment Plan
by adopting Ordinance No. 992 on December 28, 1993 ("Amendment No. 1"); and,
WHEREAS, said Amendment No. 1 added new territory (the "Added Area")
to the boundaries of the Original Project Area; and,
EREAS, the San Jacinto Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency") wishes to
undertake the required steps to delete certain territory (the Deletion Area") shown
in Exhibit "A' attached hereto (provided that in the event of a discrepancy between
the pictorial depiction of the area to be deleted and the list of parcels, the pictorial
depiction shall control) pursuant to an agreement entered into among the City
Council and the Resources Agency of California, the California Farm Bureau
Federation, the Riverside County Farm Bureau, Virgal T. Woolfolk, and Harry E.
Bryan, Jr.; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to comply with the provisions of the Community
Redevelopment Law, California Health and Safety Code Sections 33000. et seq.,
(the "CRL"), including CRL Sections 33450 to 33458, in order to accomplish the
desired amendment; and,
WHEREAS, CRL Section 33328.3 requires that in order to delete territory
from the Project Area the information required in CRL Section 33327 must be
transmitted by the Agency to certain taxing officials and agencies and the State
Board of Equalization.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the San Jacinto
Redevelopment Agency:
SECTION 1: The Executive Director of the Agency is hereby authorized to
commence with and undertake the activities and proceedings necessary to amend
the Redevelopment Plan for the San Jacinto Redevelopment Project by deleting the
Deletion Area.
SECTION 2: The Executive Director of the Agency is hereby authorized and
directed to transmit to the taxing officials and agencies and the State Board of
Equalization, in the form and manner required by law, a map and description of the
boundaries of the Deletion Area, and a statement that an amendment to the San
Jacinto Redevelopment Plan is being prepared.
SECTION 3: The Executive Director of the Agency is hereby authorized to
pay to the State Board of Equalization such fees for filing and processing said
statement and map as may be required pursuant to Section 33328.4 of the
Community Redevelopment Law.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of October, 1995.
