A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF
AN APPLICATION FOR THE 2013 FUNDING ROUND OF THE
HOUSING-RELATED PARKS PROGRAM (HRP) THROUGH THE
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR
THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, $25 Million of HRP program funding for the creation or rehabilitation
of parks is available to jurisdictions in the State of California
WHEREAS, the HRP program funding is an innovative program designed to
reward local governments that approve housing for lower-income households and are
in compliance with State housing element law; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto wishes to receive HRP Grant funding to
create or rehabilitate parks; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto agrees to complete the proposed grant
project within a timely manner and in compliance with HRP Guidelines.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San
Jacinto authorizes the submittal of an application for HRP funding for the creation or
rehabilitation of parks.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if a grant award is made to fund bicycle and
pedestrian safety improvements, the San Jacinto City Council authorizes the City
Manager, or designee, to accept the grant funds, execute and complete the project.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
on the 17th day of December 2013 by the following vote:
AYES: Bartel, Kotyuk, Miller, Ruiz, Ledezma
