A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, CALLING
AND GIVING NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY,
NOVEMBER 6, 2012
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 1405 of the California
Elections Code, a special election may be held on the day of the statewide general
election on November 6, 2012.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
San Jacinto, California as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Section 1405 of the
California Elections Code, the City of San Jacinto may hold a special election on the
day of the general election of the qualified electors of the State of California, Tuesday,
November 6, 2012, the purpose of the attachment/detachment involving the City and
Riverside County territory as further detailed in the LAFCO 2009-01-3 Reorganization
Petition; and
SECTION 2. That the ballots to be used at said election shall be, both as
to form and matter contained therein, such as may be required by law to be used
thereat; and
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized,
instructed and directed to work with the County Registrar of Voters to furnish any and all
official ballots, notices, printed matter and all supplies, equipment and paraphernalia
that may be necessary in order to properly and lawfully conduct said election; and
SECTION 4. That the polls for said election shall be opened at seven
o'clock a.m. of the day of said election and shall remain open continuously from said
time until eight o'clock p.m. of the same day when said polls shall be closed, pursuant to
Election Code Section 10242, except as provided in Section 14401 of the Elections
Code of the State of California; and
SECTION 5. That in all particulars not recited in this Resolution, said
election shall be held and conducted as provided by law for holding municipal elections;
and
SECTION 6. That notice of the time and place of holding said election is
hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give

such further or additional notice of said election, in time, form and manner as required
by law; and
SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this Resolution, shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City,
and shall make a minute of passage and adoption thereof in the records of the
proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the
same is passed and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of San Jacinto held this 10th day of August 2012, by the following
vote:
Ayes: Bartel, Miller, Kotyuk
Nays: None
Absent: Di Memmo, Ledezma
Abstain: None
