A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO APPROVING AND ADOPTING RULES AND
REGULATIONS FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CALIFORNIA
RELOCATION ASSISTANCE LAW AND REAL PROPERTY
ACQUISITION GUIDELINES
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City cif San Jacinto (the "Agency")
has the power to acquire real property; and
WHEREAS, such activities have the potential to cause displacement of persons,
families, and businesses; and
WHEREAS, the Agency is a public entity formed under the provisions of state
law that is required to adhere to the California Relocation Assistance Law, Government
Code Section 7260, et seq. (the "CRAL") and the Relocation Assistance and Real
Property Acquisition Guidelines, 26 California Code of Regulations, Section 6000, et
sue. (the "State Guidelines'); and
WHEREAS, the Agency desires to adopt "Rules and Regulations for
Implementation of the California Relocation Assistance Law and Real Property
Acquisition Guidelines' applicable to its property acquisition activities; and
WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 7267.0(a) requires all public
entities to adopt rules and regulations to implement payments and to administer
relocation assistance pursuant to the CRAL and the State Guidelines.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency of the
City of San Jacinto as follows:
Section 1. Adoption. The Governing Board of the Agency (the "Board") hereby
adopts the Rules and Regulations for Implementation of the California Relocation
Assistance Law and Real Property Acquisition Guidelines, as set forth in full in Exhibit
"A" attached to this Resolution and incorporated herein by reference, as its rules and
regulations ("Rules and Regulations"). The Rules and Regulations are adopted
pursuant to Section 7267.6(a) of the California Government Code to implement
payments and administer relocation assistance under the CRAL and the State
Guidelines. All prior rules and regulations implementing the CRAL and the State
Guidelines are hereby repealed.
Section 2. Amendment. To the extent the State Guidelines may be amended or
supplemented, this Resolution shall be deemed to have incorporated such amendment
or supplement without any further action by the Board.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its
adoption.
