A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO
AUTHORIZING THE CONTINUANCE OF EXPENDITURES
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998-99 AT THE SAME LEVEL
AS APPROVED IN THE FISCAL YEAR 1997-98 BUDGET
UNTIL SUCH TIME AS A BUDGET FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1998-99 IS ADOPTED
WHEREAS; the City Council has not yet adopted a Budget for Fiscal Year 1998-99,
and
WHEREAS; there is a need to expend City fiinds to insure the proper functioning of the
City until such time as a budget is adopted, and
WHEREAS; it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of San JACINTO that
necessary services provided by the City be continued without interruption,
NOW BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Departments and Divisions of the City of
r.. San Jacinto are authorized to continue spending for necessary services at the same level as was
approved in the Fiscal Year i 997-99 Budget until such time as the City Council adopts a budget
for Fiscal Year 1998-99, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such spending authority is limited to salary and
benefits of the City's employees, sen ices and supplies necessary for continuing set-vices and for
capital expenditures for projects already approved and authorized by the Fiscal Year 1997-98
budget.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of June, 199E by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmember Conner, flood and !tayor Smedley
NOES: Councilmember Cornett
