A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO
ADOPTING FINDINGS OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY
RELATED TO ON-SALE LIQUOR LICENSE FOR THE MAIN EVENT
LOCATED AT 2505 S. SAN JACINTO AVENUE
WHEREAS, The Main Event has submitted an application to the Alcohol Beverage
Control Board (ABC) for an upgrade of their license from a Type A-42 to Type A-47 and
Type A-48 liquor license;
WHEREAS, this application is located in a census tract determined by the ABC to
have "undue concentration";
WHEREAS, the ABC cannot issue this license without a finding of public
convenience and necessity by the City Council;
WHEREAS, the City Council considered this application at its meeting of May 21 ,
199E and considered the geographic location of this site compared to other licenses.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That, that based on the foregoing, the City
Council hereby adopts a Resolution of Convenience and Necessity in order to allow the
granting of an upgraded liquor license for The Main Event at 2505 S. San Jacinto Avenue.
MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the said City Council on
the 21'day of May 1998 by the following vote:
AYES' Councilmembers Conner, Cornett, Good, Williams and Mayor Smedley
NOES: None
ABSENT:None
