A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING BOND FOR CITY TREASURER
WHEREAS, California Government Code section 36518 provides that before
entering upon the duties of City Treasurer, the City Treasurer shall "execute a bond to
the city', and that the penal sum of the bond shall be "in a reasonable amount
recommended by the city attorney and fixed by the city council'; and
WHEREAS, San Jacinto Municipal Code, section 2.20.020 provides, "The city
treasurer of the city shall furnish to the city a bond in the penal sum of five thousand
dollars ($5,000), for the performance of his or her official duties as required by law"; and
WHEREAS, Government Code section 36520 further provides that "The city
council shall approve all bonds"; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code section 3652, when approved, the
City Treasurer's bond shall be filed with the City Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED determined and ordered by the City
Council of the City of San Jacinto:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of San Jacinto hereby approves and
accepts said bond filed on behalf of the City Treasurer.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to Government Code section 3652, the above-referenced
bond shall be filed with the City Clerk.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this resolution.
This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED, this 5th day of February, 2009 by the
following vote:

Abstain: None
