A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA,
SUMMARILY VACATING A PORTION OF MCDERMOTTS PLACE
IMMEDIATELY WEST OF HEWITT STREET
WHEREAS, McDermotts Place immediately west of Hewitt Street was never
constructed; and
WHEREAS, the San Jacinto General Plan Circulation Element does not indicate a future
need for McDermotts Place immediately west of Hewitt Street; and
WHEREAS, this portion of McDermotts Place has been impassable for more than five
consecutive years; and
WHEREAS, no public funds have ever been spent for maintenance on this portion of
McDermotts Place.
Ir NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the right-of-way known as McDermotts Place shown on
Exhibit "A" shall be summarily vacated in accordance with
Section 8335 of the California Streets and Highways Code,
excepting therefrom public utility easements for the purposes
cited in Section 8340 (a) of the California Streets and
Highways Code.
ADOPTED, SIGNED and APPROVED this 2nd day of March 2000.
