A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO INITIATING PROCEEDINGS PURSUANT TO
THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972 FOR
THE ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY TO LANDSCAPING,
LIGHTING AND PARK DISTRICT NO. 2 (ANNEXATION NO.
2) AND ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF THE
ENGINEER'S REPORT
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council ("City Council")of the
City of San Jacinto ("City") thatthe public interest, convenience and necessity require the
installation, operation, maintenance and servicing of street lights, traffic signals, street
trees, parkways, median islands, landscaping, parks, and any improvernents appurtenant
thereto, as set forth in Section 22525 of the California Streets and Highways Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that, to finance such facilities
and the maintenance and servicing thereof, certain property that will receive benefit from
the maintenance and servicing of such facilities should be annexed to existing
Landscaping. Lighting and Park District No. 2 of the City of San Jacinto (the "District"); and
WHEREAS, the proceedings for the annexation of such property to the
District are authorized by and will be conducted pursuant to the provisions of the
Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, Part 2 (commencing with Section 22500) of Division
15 of the California Streets and Highways Code.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, determined and ordered by the City
Council of the City of San Jacinto as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council proposes to annex certain property to the
District pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, Part 2 (commencing with
Section 25000) of Division 15 of the California Streets and Highways Code.
SECTION 2. The Improvements shall include the following:
(a) the installation or construction of public lighting,facilities, including, but
not limited to, street lights and traffic signals;
(b) the installation or planting of landscaping, including, but not limited to,
street trees, parkways, and median islands,-

(c) the installation or construction of park or recreational facilities;
(d) the installation or construction of any facilities which are appurtenant to
any improvements listed in (a) through (d) or which are necessary or convenient for the
maintenance or servicing thereof including, but not limited to, irrigation, drainage, and
electrical facilities, and
(e) the maintenance and servicing of any of the foregoing.
SECTION 3. The property to be specifically charged for the maintenance and
servicing of such improvements shall include all of the land generally located at the
northeast corner of Cottonwood Avenue and Kirby Street in the City of San Jacinto, County
of Riverside, and shall be designated "Annexation No. 2 to Landscaping, Lighting and
Park District No. 2".
SECTION 4. The property described in Exhibit "A" which is proposed to be
included within the proposed boundaries of Annexation No. 2 to the District is presently
included in Landscaping, Lighting and Park District No. 1 of the City of San Jacinto. Upon
the completion of proceedings for the annexation of such property to the District it shall be
detached from such other district.
SECTION 5. GFB-Friedrich and Associates, Inc., the District's engineer
("Engineer"), is ordered to prepare and file a report in accordance with Article 4
(commencing with Section 22565) of Chapter 1 of Part 2 of Division 15 of the California
Streets and Highways Code with respect to the annexation of the property described in
Section 3 hereof to the District. Upon completion, the Engineer shall file said report with
the City Clerk of the City Council for submission to the City Council.

Legal Description
The land situated in the State of California, County of Riverside, City of San
Jacinto described as follows:
THE WEST 314 OF THE SOUTHWEST 114 OF LOT 143 OF THE LANDS OF THE SAN
JACINTO LAND ASSOCIATION AS SHOWN BY MAP ON FILE IN BOOK 8 PAGE 357 OF
MAPS, RECORDS OF SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
