A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, PERTAINING TO THE DISPOSITION OF TAX
REVENUE ASSOCIATED WITH THE DETACHMENT KNOWN AS THE
PIRELLI DETACHMENT
WHEREAS, the Pirelli family has requested that those portions of their
property now within the city limits of the City of San Jacinto be detached from the
City to be returned to County of Riverside jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to cooperate in this effort; and
WHEREAS, the Cortese-Knox-Hertzberg Local Government
Reorganization Act of 2000 requires a property tax exchange resolution.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
San Jacinto-
Section 1: The City of San Jacinto hereby agrees to relinquish one
hundred percent (100%) of the general fund property taxes,
structural fire tax and library taxes collected within the
detachment area as indicated in the attached map.
Section 2: The Resolution shall become effective upon the effective
date of the Pirelli Detachment.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED, this 5t" day of December, 2002
by the following vote:
Ayes: Conner, Carlson-Buydos, Conner, Shaw, Stubblefield, Ayres
Nays: None
Absent: None
Abstain: None
