A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO,
CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH THE SAN
JACINTO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ON THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS
TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLANS FOR THE SAN JACINTO AND SOBOBA
SPRINGS REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREAS
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the California Community
Redevelopment Law, Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq. ("CRL"), on June
28 1983 and December 28, 1983, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto ("City
Council") adopted the Redevelopment Plans for the San Jacinto and Soboba Springs
Redevelopment Project Areas, respectively (collectively, "Project Areas"); and
WHEREAS, the San Jacinto Redevelopment Agency ("Agency") is considering
merging the Project Areas through Amendment No. 7 to the Redevelopment Plan for
the San Jacinto Redevelopment Project Area and Amendment No. 2 to the
Redevelopment Plan for the Soboba Springs Redevelopment Project Area (collectively,
"Amendments") into a single project area ("Merged Project Area") in order to: (j) adopt a
single Merged, Amended and Restated Redevelopment Plan ("Merged Redevelopment
Plan"): (ii) update and expand the capital improvement projects list for the Merged
Project Area; (iii) re-instate eminent domain power in the San Jacinto Redevelopment
Project Area for a 12 year period, commencing with the effectiveness of the ordinance
adopting the Merged Redevelopment Plan; (iv) eliminate the time limit to incur debt for
the Soboba Springs Redevelopment Project Area; and (v) combine the financial limits
from the Redevelopment Plans for the existing Project Areas, which would result in an
increase in the financial limits; and
WHEREAS, the Amendments have been prepared in conformance with the CRL;
and
WHEREAS, CRL Section 33458 authorizes the City Council and the Agency to
consent to hold a joint public hearing on the proposed Amendments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED determined and ordered by the City
Council of the City of San Jacinto, as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council hereby consents to a joint public hearing of the
City Council and the Agency on the proposed Amendments to the Redevelopment
Plans for the San Jacinto and Soboba Springs Project Areas and on the
Environmental Impact Report prepared in connection therewith.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of San Jacinto is hereby authorized and
directed, in cooperation with the Secretary of the Agency, to prepare, publish, and mail
such notices and documents required by the CRL, and staff is authorized and directed
to perform all other acts as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this
resolution.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this resolution.
