CITY OF SAN JACINTO ]
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA,
PROCLAIMING THAT SAN JACINTO IS A "WATER WISE CITY"
WHEREAS, Riverside County has become a demonstrated national leader in
natural resource management through its integrated resource planning effort; and
WHEREAS, water is Riverside County's most precious natural resource; and
WHEREAS, residents, governments, businesses, and agriculture must work
together to ensure the efficient use of water in homes, landscapes, public facilities and
businesses; and
WHEREAS, Riverside County, water agencies and municipal governments are
committed to the development and implementation of water use efficiency guidelines;
and
WHEREAS, these guidelines will play an essential role in maintaining adequate
and reliable supplies of water for Riverside County's future; and
WHEREAS, the County of Riverside has requested that Riverside County cities
work collectively and cooperatively to further the benefits of water conservation; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto has developed and adopted Landscape
Design Guidelines which incorporate the latest conservation technology.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, ordered and determines that the City of
San Jacinto is a "Water Wise City" committed to the efficient utilization and conservation
of water resources and the development and implementation of water use guidelines.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting held on July 7, 2005
by the following vote:
Ayes: Ayres, Ritchie, Shaw, Stubblefield, Buydos
Nays: None
Absent: None
Abstain: None
