A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO DECLARING MARCH 30, 2010 TO BE
WELCOME HOME VIETNAM VETERANS DAY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto and our citizens
have the utmost respect for the men and women who fought in Vietnam;
and
WHEREAS, we honor all Vietnam Veterans for their courage and their
loyalty to God and Country during turbulent times; and
WHEREAS, we honor those who were Prisoners of War, those still
Missing In Action and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, the laying
down of their lives, to preserve freedom throughout the world; and
WHEREAS, we acknowledge those Vietnam Veterans who still suffer the
remnants of war, bet it physically or psychologically, and we offer our
._ support as they continue to fight their personal inner war; and
WHEREAS, the Veterans of the Vietnam War deserve our gratitude and
respect for the time, effort and dedication that they have given in the
service of their Country may we never forget the men and women who
have given so much; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto recognizes the
Proclamation that California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has
presented, proclaiming March 30, 2010 as Welcome Home Vietnam
Veterans Day
WHEREAS, this day of appreciation, like the Vietnam Veterans'
Memorials throughout the cities of the United States, is a tribute to the
sacrifices of all the American veterans who served in Vietnam. It is a time
to reflect on our past, and March 30 represents our continued dedication
to honoring and supporting our veterans as we offer all of them a heartfelt
"welcome home."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
San Jacinto as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council declares March 30, 2010 to be
Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day

PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED, this 15th day of April 2010 by the
following vote:
Ayes: Ayres, Di Memmo, Mansperger, Potts
Nays: None
Absent: Stubblefield
Abstain: None
