A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, IN SUPPORT OF ACQUIRING A
HOWITZER FOR THE VETERAN'S MEMORIAL AT DRUDING
PARK
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto incorporated in April of 1888; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto ("City") has developed the Veteran's
Memorial at Druding Park in order to recognize each branch of the United States
Military; and
WHEREAS, presently the Army, Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard are
represented with demilitarized equipment or another from of monumentation; and
WHEREAS, the City seeks to acquire a Howitzer so as to represent the
+- contributions of the Marine Corps: and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto has assumed all responsibility for
regular maintenance of the existing monuments at the Veteran's Memorial at
Druding Park to ensure that such are maintained and displayed in a safe and
professional manner; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto will assume all responsibility for the
ongoing maintenance of the Howitzer so as to ensure that such is maintained and
displayed in safe and professional manner.
NOW BE IT RESOLVED, ordered and determined by the City Council of
the City of San Jacinto, that the acquisition of a Howitzer will complete the
monumentation and provide representation for each branch of the United States
Military at the Veteran's Memorial at Druding Park.
