A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF CERTAIN AGREEMENTS WITH
CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto is a municipal corporation duly
organized and existing pursuant to the laws of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, from time to time, the City of San Jacinto is required to carry
out various transportation projects for the health, safety and welfare of the public;
and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto is eligible to receive Federal and/or
State funding for certain transportation projects through the California
Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, agreements must be executed with the California Department
of Transportation before such funds can be claimed; and
WHEREAS, agreements must be approved by the City Council prior to
their execution; and
WHEREAS, in an effort to expedite the funding of these projects, the City
of San Jacinto wishes to delegate authorization to execute these agreements
and any amendments thereto to the City Manager, or his/her designee;
WHEREAS, this authorization would only apply to those agreements
wherein the City receives funds from Caltrans.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED determined and ordered by the
City Council of the City of San Jacinto:
