A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, IN SUPPORT OF SAN JACINTO
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT MEASURE "V"
WHEREAS, San Jacinto Unified School District has requested the City of
San Jacinto's support on Bond Measure "V'; and
WHEREAS, the San Jacinto City Council concurs with SJUSD that
expansion, repairs, improvements, and upgrades of school facilities are
warranted to keep up with the needs of our growing population as it relates to
public education; and
WHEREAS, public education is a fundamental element in a successful
community; and
WHEREAS, the passage of San Jacinto Unified School District Measure V
is pivotal in providing matching state funds to implement the expansion, repair,
improvement, and upgrades of school facilities within the San Jacinto Unified
School District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, ordered and determined that
the City Council of the City of San Jacinto is in support of San Jacinto Unified
School District Measure "V," providing funding for construction of new school
campuses, expansion of existing facilities, and repair and upgrades warranted of
existing school facilities.
APPROVED, PASSED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
San Jacinto at a Regular Meeting held 19th day of October 2006 by the following
vote:
Ayes: Ayres, Buydos, Ritchie, Shaw, Stubblefield
Nays: None
Absent: None
Abstain: None
