A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CREATING NEW JOB DESCRIPTIONS FOR
ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER, SENIOR BUILDING INSPECTOR,
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT-CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE,
ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY I-FINANCE DEPARTMENT,
PLANNING DIRECTOR, PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR-PARKS
DIVISION AND PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR-STREET
DIVISION.
WHEREAS, City Manager Barry McClellan performed an assessment of
the city's organization needs to meet the current demands of the various city
departments; and
WHEREAS, the assessment of the city's organization needs revealed that
new positions in the city manager, community development, finance, and public
works department were warranted to cant' out the individual department's
responsibilities; and
WHEREAS, the San Jacinto City Council conceptually approved the new
positions through the mid year budget amendments for fiscal year 05-06 and
through the fiscal year 06-07 budget process; and
WHEREAS, the creation of the new job descriptions supports the
organizational needs in the city manager's office, building division, finance
department, and public works; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED determined and ordered by the
City Council of the City of San Jacinto that the job descriptions for the assistant
city manager, senior building inspector, executive assistant — city manager's
office, administrative secretary I - finance department, planning director, public
works supervisor - parks division, and public works supervisor - streets division,
attached hereto as Exhibits "A" through "G" are hereby created to meet the
organizational needs.
