A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, IN SUPPORT OF
VALLEY HEALTH SYSTEM MEASURE "I".
WHEREAS, Valley Health System (VHS) has requested the City of San
Jacinto's support on Bond Measure "I"; and
WHEREAS, the San Jacinto City Council concurs with VHS that hospital
and facilities expansion is warranted to keep up with the rate of growth in the
communities that VHS operates; and
WHEREAS, the expansion of facilities, and installation of state-of-the art
equipment for cardiac and cancer patients at the Hemet Valley Medical Center
will greatly improve the level of services provided to our general population, and
will shorten the travel distances patients who currently must travel out of town to
receive state-of-the art treatment for cardiac and cancer related health problems;
and
WHEREAS, in the judgment of the San Jacinto City Council, it is advisable
to provide additional facility funding for health care needs by means of a general
obligation bond.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, ordered and determined that the
City Council of the City of San Jacinto is in support of Valley Health System
Measure "l," providing funding for construction of new facilities, expansion of
existing facilities, seismic retrofit, and installation of state-of-the-art equipment at
local facilities.
APPROVED, PASSED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
San Jacinto at a Regular Meeting held 17th day of August 2006 by the following
vote:
