Mayor Crystal Ruiz called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.

City Clerk Julia Espinoza conducted the roll call:
Present in Person: Mayor Crystal Ruiz, Mayor Pro Tern Phil Ayala,
Councilmember Brian Hawkins, and Councilmember Alonso Ledezma
Absent: Councilmember Heath
M/S/C (Ruiz/Ledezma) moved to excuse the absence of Councilmember Heath.
Motion carried 4/0.

4. CITY MANAGER UPDATE
October 4, 2022
City Manager Rob Johnson will present the update at the October 18, 2022 City Council
meeting.
5. FUTURE REQUESTS FROM CITY COUNCIL TO STAFF
Councilmember Hawkins requested that the City become a sanctuary city for life.
Mayor Pro Tern Ayala requested an update on the construction project at Sanderson
Avenue and Ramona Expressway.
Councilmember Ledezma requested an update on the Main Street properties.
Mayor Ruiz requested an update on all Capital Improvement Projects for the City.
6. ADJOURNMENT
With no further business before the City Council, Mayor Ruiz adjourned the City Council's
Regular Meeting at 6:44 pm.
